Case Study

Client: Svoimi Slovami

Goal: Develop a cohesive set of icons for the website that align with the client's brand principles and integrate seamlessly with the platform's existing visual style.

Scope: Provide 35 custom icons that strictly adhere to the brand guidelines, including specified color palettes, stroke weights, and thematic consistency.

Challenge: Translate class names and workshops into intuitive visual symbols while maintaining harmony with the existing icon library.

30+ Custom Icons for Website & Social Media
Duration: 2 weeks

Research & Ideation: Presented 3 distinct style options per icon, using curated references to clarify client preferences.

Client Alignment: Refined concepts based on feedback, narrowing the focus to two final directions per icon, prioritizing brand alignment.

Iteration: Developed 50+ draft assets, iterating on 95% of the icons within two rounds to ensure style cohesion and functional clarity.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Canva, client brand documentation.

Outcome:

Delivered a full suite of 35 on-brand icons approved by the client in 2 revisions, achieving:

100% adherence to brand guidelines (color codes, stroke alignment, grid compliance).
Custom icons delivered 2 days ahead of the deadline.
35 icons successfully integrated into the client’s website, making up 55% of the total icons library.

Impact: Strengthened visual storytelling for the platform, with icons reused across marketing materials for brand consistency.

Check the client’s website to view the icons in use and their seamless integration across the platform.

Problem:

The current engagement rate in the GeoGuru app is lower than expected, indicating that users are not interacting with the app as frequently or deeply as intended.

Feedback from user surveys highlights that the absence of gamification features is a significant missed opportunity in the GeoGuru app.

Additionally, existing research proves this. Studies show that gamified systems, including badges, leaderboards, and rewards, can significantly improve user experience and retention.

Implementing Achievement System for improved user engagement.

Key Features:

Earn Badges: Users will earn badges, titles.
Set Goals: Achievements will help users track their progress.
Stay Motivated: Progress trackers, notifications, and surprise achievements
Connect with Others: Social sharing (possibly in app ver. 2.0)
GeoGuru Certificate: After earning all badges, titles users will receive a GeoGuru Certificate.
